I completely forgot to upload the update last month. Anyways, this update was mostly for quality of life changes. The Changelog and Information tabs have been reworked for better readability and to get rid of some old code that didn’t need to be there. Other than that, Accuracy, Aura, Critical Chance, and Shield (Again…) attributes have been changed, item and move tooltips were made to be more accurate, and color has been added to several keywords so there just isn’t a huge wall of white text.
*Accuracy: Instead of two random numbers being generated, only one is rolled and if the total calculated accuracy is higher than the number, then the move succeeds in executing
*Total calculated accuracy: Acting Entity’s Total Accuracy + Move Accuracy - Target’s Total Evasion - (5 * Distance Between Actor and Target)
*Critical Chance: Exactly the same as how Accuracy works, with the total calculated critical chance being higher than the rolled number making the move become critical
*Total calculated critical chance: Acting Entity’s Total Critical Chance + Move Critical Chance
*Extended Item/Move Profiles: Just like characters, items and moves now have a more detailed overview of (mostly) all their properties. This can be accessed by hovering your mouse over an item/move and clicking the ‘ⓘ’ symbol located near the top of the tooltip
*Aura/Shield: Once again, I have reworked the Aura and Shield resources. This is because of how similar both were and… I just didn’t like it. Aura now only absorbs Magic damage while Shield absorbs Physical (Blunt/Sharp) damage
*Damage Application Rework: Each Damage Type is applied to the Target individually instead of all at the same time. This change mostly came about due to the fact that I forgot to incorporate the new Aura and Shield changes into how damage calculation worked
*Optimized how entity attributes are updated… ← This was pain
*Added color to several keywords that appear in Item/Entity/Move tooltips and extended profiles, Battle Log, and displayed resources of Entities on the board
*Added some missing properties into item/move tooltips
*Fixed an issue where the Shield resource wasn’t being properly displayed
*Fixed an issue where Traits/Modifiers weren’t applying their effects
*Fixed an issue where Modifiers given through requirements not activating the entity update system
*Fixed an issue where the wrong variable was being used to calculate an item’s Magic Pierce
*Not really as relevant as the other topics above, but I also wanted to improve on the readability of these changelogs so several changes to the format were made.
