I wanted to rework shield (again) and aura because of how bland their possible use cases were. This was the plan for the update but a major flaw in the battle system was found while testing. I realized that attributes were only being updated at the start and end of a turn. This means that attributes that are affected because of something that happens during a turn only come into effect once the turn is over. This problem has been, hopefully, fixed. My work isn’t done however, as many bugs and other unintended side effects due to the new system being implemented have reared their ugly heads. Several minor patches will be released in the following days to address these issues. I just wanted to make the shield and aura resources unique…
>Added several properties to moves for more complex interactions
>Added 5 Status Effects: Aura Disruption, Shield Disruption, Aura Shred, Shield Shred, Slow
>Changed how and when attribute totals are calculated, Accuracy and Evasion system to now only hit when Accuracy is equal to or greater than Evasion, moves with negative Accuracy to now have zero Accuracy, and Shield to only block Physical Damage and Aura to only block Magical Damage (Doesn’t work yet)
>Fixed 2 bugs: A misspelled variable detecting how much stamina a move costs; NPCs unable to target due to an undefined variable
>Removed critical strikes for now
